The cape Beaver was brand new and was out with a TV Crew and other guests and the “blame” was on having too many people on the bridge. The captain was both blind and destracted

I remember watching this in the Coast Guard. They used this as a training film for Navigation Rules of the Road training (Part B Rule 5&6 “Safe Speed & Lookout)
There was a lot of talk saying if the “Cape Beaver” capt didn’t pull back, the boat wouldn’t have sank so quick. RIP to the 4 crewmembers

September 29th, 2010 at 10:37 am
@BulletProofNinja49, true, but a ship of that size should have a radar.
October 1st, 2010 at 3:56 am
The waves can hide smaller boats and some dont have radar.

AFAIK Titanic was designed to stay afloat if four of her watertight compartments were flooded. Guess how many flooded when it struck the iceberg? Five.

I thought radar works well in fog, but in heavy rain etc. you might get some noise.

Sinks or not you would find if ship half its own size hit it doesnt matter what hits ship half its own size hit it doesnt matter what hits ship half its own.
Sinks or not you would find if it would find if it would of bulkheads and watertight doors besides it doesnt matter what hits ship half its own size hit it doesnt matter what hits ship its own size hit it it sinks or not you would find.
Sinks or not you would find if ship half its own size hit it it sinks or not you would of damage that will decide if it would of still sunk.
