kitchen sink?

J FRED J asked:
Anybody know how to prevent a double kitchen sink from backing up when you wash dishes? The drain goes into the wall directly behind one of the sinks…and when we rinse dishes the suds will back through the drain line into the other sink. Any suggestions that are not like re-plumbing the drain?

on the sink continous waste under the sink , there is a staight tee which attaches both basket strainers to one outlet drain - try installing an 1 1/2 slip joint baffle tee instead of your staight tee - this has a baffle in itsef that will prevent back up to your other conpartment- these tees are typically used when garbage disposers are installed - this should help -
