i only have brown water in my kitchen sink &now the water isnt running at all why?

      Rust has broken loose and clogged your aerator,that is the round part where the water comes out.Unscrew it and clean the screen out.Sometimes it will plug the fixture valve as well but usually the screen is the problem.

      i would say your incoming line is broke outside underground and has filled finally with mud to prevent water from coming in
