How do you replace a kitchen sink that is too small for the previous hole?

Our kitchen sink was leaking so we bought a used sink (so we can’t return it), but we got it home and it was about a quarter of an inch too small for the hole. How do you fix it so the sink will fit.
the sink is tile and we have all of the pipe stuff but does any one know if there is some kind of counter top extender or something because the only problem is the new sink is like an inch too small in all directions
Sorry, i meant the counter top is made of tile not the sink.

The hole or new counter top that fits the sink that fits the sink would go with sink that fits the hole or new counter top that fits the sink they are cheap.
