How do you get a self-rimming sink to stay in place?

We have installed a new countertop and sink in our kitchen. The sink is a cast acrylic, self-rimming sink. How is it supposed to be held in place? It didn’t come with any clips or anything to secure it to the countertop. The sink is too light for its weight to hold it in place, and the silicone sealant doesn’t hold it either.
