What is the sound coming from under my kitchen sink?

Saturday, September 6th, 2008
Lynnea asked:

I hear a sound under the kitchen sink every once in a while. It’s almost like a rumble. Its just a short sound but will happen for 5-10 minutes at a time, about every 3 seconds. I can’t figure out what it is. There are no leaks, and our pipes aren’t plugged… Help!
I’m pretty sure we don’t have a boiler. If we do, what is it? If not, do you have any ideas?

How do I fix my severely clogged kitchen sink?

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008
dsedarisfan asked:

I poured oatmeal down my kitchen sink a week ago and it has been clogged up since. Drano and the plunger haven’t worked. I bought a snake but I can fit it into the small drain openings. What do I do now?

UK Plumbers. Is there a way to convert two kitchen taps to one single mixer tap without changing the sink?

Monday, September 1st, 2008
Jude asked:

I know nothing about plumbing. Is it fairly easy (and possible) to change two individual kitchen taps (hot and cold) to one single mixed tap so that I can get warm water, without changing the whole kitchen sink?
Thanks.
