The side of the double-bowl kitchen sink with the garbage disposal does not drain. The side of the double-bowl kitchen sink not attached to the garbage disposal works just fine. I have plunged and snaked the side with the garbage disposal but it is not clearing up.

Can it still be the trap if one side works just fine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Upon further inspection it appears that I have been snaking the line to the dishwasher and not the pipe I thought I had been. I am now in the process of trying out your various answers
