Where can I buy a drinking fountain attachment for my kitchen sink faucet?

Monday, July 23rd, 2007
utahn111 asked:

My wife really wants a drinking fountain at the kitchen sink. The plumber who is installing the sink said they used to make an adapter attachment that would screw onto the faucet, but he hasn’t seen them for a couple of years. Does anyone know what he is talking about, and if so, where we might be able to find one? We’ve found one plumbing shop in the entire state of Utah who has one, but he won’t sell it because he wants to use it as a prototype because the company he got it from doesn’t make it any more. This is the one thing my wife wants more than almost anything else in her new kitchen, so if anyone knows where to find something like that, you would be a hero!

Can I get a portable dishwasher with low kitchen sink faucet pressure?

Saturday, July 14th, 2007
SS asked:

I want to get a portable or countertop dishwasher for my new house which is the second level of a older house. Having said that, the water pressure, especially out of the kitchen sink faucet is very low. I’m wondering if I could still use a portable dishwasher with low pressure and/or if this matters for different types. Obviously I would prefer a model where this wouldn’t make a difference. So far, I’ve looked into the 18″ Haier and the 17″ Danby. I’ve also seen a couple larger floor units by GE. So, my question is, will a portable dishwasher work with low kitchen sink water pressure?

How much (roughly) does a new kitchen sink cost?

Sunday, July 8th, 2007
jenniferaboston asked:

We just moved into a new apartment and the kitchen sink consists of two VERY SMALL basins. It’s making me crazy. Everytime I do the dishes water splashes all over the place and Im left with puddles all along the back of the sink which spill onto the counter tops and it’s one big mess! I can hardly rinse anything because each basin is about the size of a dinner plate. UGH!

I dont need a fancy new sink but I would like to know how much it might cost for a cheap one that was maybe one big basin instead of the two tiny ones. This whole situation wouldnt be too bad but we dont have a dishwasher so everything has to be done by hand.

Also, how much might it cost for someone to install it? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Fred

Kitchen sink?

Saturday, July 7th, 2007
Not my name asked:

I want to install a new kitchen sink that has a durable finish, but I don’t want to use stainless steel. What kind of sink will have a finish that will (1) be long lasting, and (2) be resistant to scuff marks from metal pots? I am considering a cast-iron sink with a porcelein finish and will appreciate any comments about this choice, or any other suggestions about other types of sinks. Again, I don’t want stainless steel. Thanks for your help.
