On any way the problem, you should call the professional checks it out for you.Now you must check all the system why the breaker doesn't trip off why and where smoke comes from
I hope the insurance covers it.Enjoy a new one.

The circuit did not trip as it also because the circuit did not functioning you said you said you should have qualified electrician check out that breaker that feeds this wire the future.
The power wire was burning this wire the future.
For this means there is not trip as well this device next you should replace it makes it makes it the cost to fix it.

It's called a garbage disposal. It sounds as though it needs to be rewired, maybe because of a shorted out wire. Call a plumber & have him check it out. Of course it isn't going to work if you UNPLUGGED it. Call the plumber.

Your insurance definately won't cover a garbage disposal, but if you have a home warranty, it will.

You mean a "garbage disposal"? I doubt it's covered under insurance. Probably need to call a plumber. Garbage disposals range from about $49 up to couple hundred bucks.
